If I say something today I keep it, because I don't like to sound as stupid as some football comentators. Team X is playing awfull football (this during he first half). Second half same way, but he team scores in the 65 minute, because of a mistake of the defence from the oponent. From then on they say the team has improved, has done so, has done that (but the team keeps playing the same way, the only difference is that it scored).

I just finished seeing the taped match. An non emotional Semi-Final game, Germany never was close to a Goal (that stupid mistake from the defenders is the bit luck I talked about). South Corea played their game, they did their best as they did in all their games. Germany is a boat without a captain. It has no organization at all. Voller is not the guy for that position and I can't see anyone willing, except if they win the WC, to take this team over. I started seeing football since WC 82, so I have seen 6 WC's, and believe me, I never saw a Germany team play his way. It's worse than..., sorry guys, but this one is not comparable with any bad German team. Even the worst German team that was champion (in 1992) was ages better than this one.

I'm not trying to offend you too. Believe me, Portugal deserved to be out, Italy too, Spain is another matter, but their lost ambition, make them get out and also bad luck (Raul was Injured).

Germany deserves to be in the final because it scored the goal, not for anything else.

Tomorrow is Brazil - Turkey, watchout, I see many cards flowing around.

PS: Sorry if I hurt some fans feelings, but I have the bad problem of saying the things as I see them.

PS2: To show I'm realistic, everybody gives Brazil as winner. If I compare this Brazil to the one in 82, this one is nothing. They don't play great (spectacular football. The only great moment of Brazil in this tournament was Ronaldinhos pass to Rivaldo to score against England.) football and they don't have a strcuture that is ideal for the team. Scolari may take this team to the Championship, but his tactics are wrong for a Brazilian team.

Very well played match (Germany vs. Korea)
Today a better team won.
One team always loses and one always wins.
I guess today was Korea's turn to lose.

I also see Brazil and Germany in the finals

Winner: Brazil (but anything could happen)


One more thing

I’m very proud of Korea for giving us Asian country hope for the world cup title.

but he mad brazil play as a team

the other 5 coaches before him did nothing

this is why i though brazil wouldnt pass the first round

they played well & in the end there must always be a loser. The best team doesn't always win (as we've all seen this world cup, many teams that should have been this far have been early rounders).
Well I'm actually hoping that Germany will pull this off over Brazil, but even their own leaders agree it was only their goal-keeper that have saved them. I think the offense of Brazil will overwhelm them (as Germany is just playing too conservative).
No guts, no glory =)

Yep, the pronosticated final is going to happen, but before I say somethin about this match I want to say the following things:

Yoyo, as I mentioned in a previous post I'm proud of Corea, they don't have Ronaldo's, Beckham's, Batistutas etc., but they have guts. In all matches I saw them play, not only in this WC, they do it doing their best and trying to win. Most of the times they didn't succed, but they fought till the end. It would be good for Asia that Corea won the "little final". Good luck to Corea ;) .

Mal, I have to desagree with you on this one. I don't see Brazil play as a Team. Why? Put Brazil under real pressure and you will see that there is no team work. Today I heard some ridiculouse comparison from a comentator on the radio. He compared this team to the one of 82. Believe me the team of Zico, Socrates, Falcao, Junior and company played as a real team even under pressure. This team has also great names, but if you compare the two teams playing, the one on this WC is nothing. Another one was when he compared this final to the one of 86. First, the Argentina of that world cup would have beaten this Brazil with more than 3 goals. THe Germany of Rumminigge (injured in that WC) was ages, but ages better than this one of Voller as coach.

Master, I agree. My glasses are different as Poko's, Joripe, Mal, Yoyo etc. are different. The emotions play a great deal in those cases. As you remember from my last post, the example of team X, shows how today, the football world deals with football. You have to be consistent, if you say Team X plays bad, but after 10 minutes it scores a goal, but keeps playing the same way, you can't come and say they are playing well. I have heard those guys do this in 80 to 90 percent of the cases. This is also motivating the bad Football we are seeing today. Only thing I ask is that the football responsables (Chairmans, Journalists etc.) be consistent with wath they say and what happens during the game.


Well, the game Brazil - Turkey was a little better than the one from yesterday. I expected a rough game and thanx god it didn' happen. I repeat, I DON'T like the way this Brazil plays. Specially during the time after the goal, when they started playing in counter attack. If they were playing against England (but playing a little better) they would have lost the game. I go for Brazil, because it's my third choice as i mentioned before. But this Brazil, is not my favourite. Don't give Brazil as winner, because strange things can happen.
