Key2Audio

First off, I must say that this is a great place for information. Tanks CDRSOFT.CC

And now, Can anyone help me PLEASE
I have 2PC's with the folowing drives:-
---------------------------------------
HP 9500 series 12X CDR/W:confused:
A-Open 52X MTRP CD-Rom:)
A-Open 16X DVD:)

A-Open 12X CDR/W:confused:
Sony 8X DVD:confused:

Both A-Open 52X CD-Rom and 16X DVD can see the audio CD. I've tried to copy the files to the Harddrive using "cdfs.zip"but with NO Success. I then tried EAC but it CRASH when I select the CD-Rom.

I've used CloneCD 3.2.1.1 with "Fast Error Skip" & "Don't Report Read Error" enabled. The Copy now plays in all A-open drives and I recorded it with Musicmatch 7.10.1045, and the MP3's is OK.

Is there another way to get the tracks onto the Harddrive without burning a CD every time ?

cdfs

if i remember correctly the cdfs only works in win 98 and 98 se
i may be wrong on this one

another alternative is if you have a drive that can play the cd...you record the audio from the sound card...you can save the files as mp3 or as a wave.
i prefer to save as a wave file and then run it through a cleaner to get it as best it can be. recording from analog will cause the wav file to be less than perfect

i am not sure but i think you can import your wave files into eac
i am just getting on to learning eac

Thanks for the post,

I'm using Windows 98SE, the problem is that when I use cdfs, I can see the directories with the wave files, eg. 8Bit & 16Bit, but windows explorer don't allow me to copy the wave files to the HardDisk

that is strange...it lets me do it
running 98se also and have no problems

remember to put back the original cdfs file and reboot.
i didn't do it and my burner went crazy...the 'fixed' version of the cdfs is not good for regular burning and gave my burner all sorts of errors some where fatal exceptions as well

I have created 2 zip file, one where it will extract to the exact path, so I just unzip, overright the file and reboot, new cdfs.

Doing the same process with the other zip file to retore the old cdfs, reboot and then I can Burn.

You said it works fine with your OS, I set up windows again to see if it will work.

I will post with the result later

Thanks

Results

Installed Windows 98SE

I used modified cdfs.zip and still nothing

I then installed ForceASPI 1.7 and it works fine with AOPEN 16XDVD-ROM/AMH :D

I can now copy the wave files to Harddrive :D
( Will save on time and CD's )

Unhappy cause it still doesn't work with AOPEN 52X CD-Rom
I quess the drive doesn't really support this :(

Thanks a lot to xbenchman for his post

ASPI problems

Just something to add....

Be careful when changing your ASPI , I run into problems, so please take a look at this thread, if you experience problems

( Free CDR Recording Software Forum > Software > Troubleshooting > Problem with ASPI when using Nero & CloneCD )
