Kerio PF 4 beta3

I noticed that just today (the release is from 6th of June...) and it seems that noone else noticed that- well, was betas 1 and 2 THAT bad? (ok, ok... don't tell me, I know how a sucker is like...) :p :D :rolleyes:
Anyway, it's out... Brave souls, make your backups and jump to it!
(I promise to be one guinea pig, after all...).

Heh im almost tempted, but ver 2.1.5 works just so well & after readin so many horror stories of the last couple of beta's

used several v3 betas, they worked fine ... except icmp filter not working in the last one ... i read that they never wanted to release a 3 final but a 3.5 final ... now 4 beta ... crazy version numbers ... even though great firewall

@poacher hm yeah :)
just tried out v4 beta ... don't like the new interface, several clicks needed to get to the packet filter :(
the console interface of the v3 betas is much better ... switched back to v3 beta6 don't need the icmp filter, and i had no oter probs with that version
thx for the reminder about backing up my old config scarecrow :)

Thanks for the update scarecrow. But I'm sticking with version 3 beta 6..... for now. ;)

Well... v.4 beta 3 seems working at last, unlike the previous 2 bets, but it just doesn't seem able to store rules properly using the fast mode (you have to build them+ insert them by hand via the advanced settings window), so unless you have TONS of patience, avoid it. ver.3 beta6 works like a charm under the NT kernel, and not at all (or pretty close to that) under 9X/ME.
So, for 9X/ME 2.15 is an exhellent firewall, and under NT stuff 3 beta6 is still the way to go.
BTW I don't really like the series 4 GUI, somehow it reminds me of ZoneAlarm pro (spit... vomit... puke... add anything you like here...).

@scarecrow

i'm running 3.0 Beta 6 for some time now on diffrent machines (Win2K & WinXP) , and a major problem i experiencend is that sometimes (happened 3 times so far on 2 diffren machines) after a shutdown, all rules are gone out of the window, and you start setting them up from 0 again....

(have startet backing up the rulez ones a week now)

Besides that, i like the 3.0 interface and it does its job well so far... havent looked at 4.0 yet though

Greetnx
