ISO Burning/Checking

Hi,

I wonder if anybody knows an easy way to check if an ISO image has been burned perfectly to CDR. I recently burned an ISO using Nero and when I tried to run the CD it could not find one of the files because of a CRC error. The file is OK in the original ISO image on hard drive. Is there burning or checking software that can verify a perfect write and/or compare the CDR with the original image file.

Try using FireBurner 2.17 and burn the iso again at 4x.

Thanks for the tips and download.

I have found the answer to how to check the CDR, CDCheck and CD Verifier seem to take care of that.

One final question. Is there any advantage in terms of accuracy in extracing the ISO to disk and them simply burning the extracted files to CDR rather than burning the ISO image.

You do have a big advantage if you burn the iso immediatly. If your pc crashes and you don't store that iso on a partitioned drive and you have to redo your system, sometimes you lose your partitioned drives (not often). I've learned through the years to backup, backup, backup, lol.
