is it possible to switch pause between audio tracks altogether in nero (express)?

I am trying to switch from winoncd to nero, but somehow nero is so uncomfortable to use, e.g. these pauses between audio tracks - the 2 seconds pause is set by default. isn't it possible to tell nero NOT to insert a pause between audio tracks by default? in winoncd there's no pause by default, if you want one, you can tell winoncd to insert them, but in nero it's the other way around. and even if I check the box "no pause between tracks" in nero express- the pause on the first track still remains - if I open the settings of the the first track - it still says 2 seconds, and I have to set it to 0 manually. this is confusing.

I also installed the mpeg 2 plugin, but I can't see it-where is it exactly??!

Just select them all in nero (not nero express). Right click -> Prperties and but the 2 to 0 seconds. now all files hve a pregap of 0 seconds. You can't set the first track to 0, because by default the first should have this put at 2. when you try to burn after doing what i told you, nero will tell you that the first track should have a 2 seconds pregap and asks if you want to orrect this, you just say yes.

PS: the MPEG 2 should be a .DLL file. Ican't tell you wich one because I didn't install it.

Goto the folder, click view, folder options and make sure u have "show all files" selected under the advanced settings list.
Then u should see it.

no, I mean how do I see in nero itself, whether the mpeg 2 plugin is installed properly? how can I use it to encode an avi file to mpeg2 ,e.g.?

Neros encoding engine sucks big time.
if u dont care about quality then use it.
Its great for making an already compliant mpeg1 or 2 into a compliant (s)vcd , but thats all.
For superior results on svcd use dvd2svcd which produces bin and cue files, so use burnatonce or cdrwin or similar.

Hi, burnatone 0.80 will be released soon (i.e. when I get time!) which allows you to burn audio cds from mp3. You can set the default pause to 0 and then forget about it! :)
