IO Error using the boot image (7-2-03)

Howdy. I was searching in google and found where this topic was just posted on this problem back in march, but its not listed now so I have to ask you fellas to help me if you can.

Ive created an image with WinImage and I just cant get it to burn. I always get the "IO error using the boot image". Does anyone know how I can get around that?

Im creating a boot disk from a 98 floppy with edited autoexec and config files. After I load the image I want to then burn some files that are updated every few days. But when I try to burn I get that error.. Can someone please direct me the right direction? Any good advice or responces are greatly appreciated. This project is very important. Thanks and have a great day.

After several attempts with several boot floppies, 3 machines, 3 installs of nero 5.10 and cd after cd, I finaly got it. Nero 5.10 itself had the issue.. Don't dl it. Installed 5.8 and it works just fine now. So if anyone gets that error you will know. Thanks for the support and help in irc. Appreciate it muchly.

Hi JJMAN glad you got it working in the end.
Yes some members after installing new version of Nero have problem one way or another, but at the same time there are those that keep an earlier version of Nero and are happy with its performance.
Just a tip if you have problems in the future burning please list your burning apps and hardware.. :)

Remember if you use Winimage NOT to make the IMG file compressed (IMZ). I use the latest Nero and have no probs. RTFM. ;-)))

Thanks for the replies and I'm just glad that brain strain is over. ANd I did try the IMZ , IMG and anything else I could even remotely think of. :)

I know this isnt a forum for this but If you all want to check my site out I have alot of cool mod's and funny mod's. I have NO banners, ads or get paid a cent if you go or not.. Strickly and without a doubt information only.. Mostly video card mod's for the 9700pro, a robot I built from computer parts that stand 7' tall, a 17th centry computer, a motherboard pencil mod and a mini rc overclock :p Oh yeah, and the World's first and only LogiSoft-OptiBall Frankenmouse! :)

http://www.jjman.org cant miss it.. again I want to stress, go or don't go but you will NOT get ads, banners or anything of that nature and this site is not in any way shape or form a money makeing site, information "only".

Again, thanks a ton for all the replies. There much appreciated.
Have a great day.
