Emma....do u have Nero installed on your pc ?
If u have, u can use Nero's file browser to find out what's in your History Folder and then Delete it. (Nero shows ALL files on your harddrive)

This will not be appropriate as it stands, nor would I recommed using the procedure every time (eg. RUN) - popping it into RunOnce as required would be better, unless you are paranoid abut trail-erasing, to the extent of that you cannot use history.

Well done drdog! Nero revealed the file which was a 'Desktop.ini' 5.56gb......Bombs away...Bye Bye. Suddenly feel much lighter

To be fair, I didn't try the other options you guys suggested. Cause I had nero installed, that was the easiest to try first.

ah well glad you got sorted .....now u have windows washer installed set it to clear that ini file by making a custom filter and point it there
