is the intel pentium d extreme edition D975XBX an intel pentium 4 with dual core??..is it possible to overclock the stock 3.46ghz to 4.0ghz??..

D975XBX is a Motherboard not a CPU, it is stated by Intel that all latest Pentium IV Extreme Edition are Dual Core, if you get a boxed CPU the box has the complete spec, as for overclocking my guess is that only with a watercooling system you´ll be able to obtain that kind of OC but I think that the money spend in a watercooling system it´s better used if you get a lot of ram and a SLI system.
