Instant Copy - Smartmessenger Popup

Since upgrading to Windows XP sp2, I get a very annoying popup when I open IC8. It's a blank window titled "Instant Copy," with three buttons on the bottom: Show, Remind Me Later and Ignore. The taskbar identifies this window as "smartmessenger."

This will happen once a day, or if I advance the system clock by 24 hours.

Why is this happening and how do I make the window go back to the miserable place it came from?

Did you disable the MS Firewall and the Security Service center?

Yep, both disabled. I see lots of entries in the registry for smartmessenger under pinnacle. ??

Strange, I did more than 3 movies since SP2 installation and i got no problems so far. The smartmessenger.exe, .dll etc files do exist in the Pinnacle"s shared common files folder, but i"ve never seen such a popup message.
Try to unistall and install it again. I"m not sure, the 1st time you run the program you will be asked if you want to look for updates periodically, just answer No.
