IE6 SP-1 Attachment Problem

After installing M$ Internet Explorer 6 SP-1 (not XP SP-1), I found I could no longer open most attachments in Outlook Express. The only attachment I could open was a jpeg, and every other attachment was dead and greyed out, including forwared messages, forwarded URL's, any attachments like RAR files, everything. Any ideas? I ended up uninstalling the update, which left all the attachments still dead until I used System Restore to fix it.

Have you tried - Tools bar / options / security bar -

and unclick "do not allow attatchments to be saved or opened that could be a virus"

Have a very very close look at the option becuae outlook is setup as default after installing ie6 sp1 to block anything which is consedered unsafe, with mean prettymuch anything not a jpeg :(, but there is an opton to turn this off and allow u to save ur attachments !!!

Hope this helps

Thanks to you and the others that answered. Guess I should have looked, but when the install program started when I though I was going to download files, and then after the install wouldn't cancel, even though it said it would, I guess I just had enough at that point. Ticked me off, as I hadn't done a backup immediately beforehand. Thanks!
