ID3 tag editor

Hi.

Could I have a few recommendations for a good FREE ID3 tag editor?

Are ID3 tags exclusive to mp3s?

From what I understand, ID3 tags display the current track info in the media player's window while the track is playing. If this is correct, and if ID3s are found in mp3s only, then how do I edit the name of the track etc which is displayed in the media player window for non-mp3 files, eg. Real Audio or other audio?

Currently there is a no better audio tool then Foobar2000...
Its a audio player,diskwriter for all formats known to mankind and a top of the line tagger..Simply with Foobar nothing cant go wrong
And its a free...
Also,maybe you can consider using ape2 tags for mp3s....
aPE2 tags are made originally for musepack,but also developer of monkey`s audio integrated in his lossless codec too,after that they found a way to mp3 too

To be honest i used both tags in my mp3s,but people at ha recomending that and i always listening to advices there,same as i listen always advices to few people here no matter what
