i have a problem with dvdxcopy

i tried to split dvd into 2 disc but when i press start copy i got a message : error reading source drive .

why i got this message ? i dont think there is an error on the disc because i succeded to rip it

dvdxcopy is still Beta as far as I'm concerned as has lots of problems. Works with some DVD's not others.

Try playing the film first with your dvd player soft then start dvdx copy again.

Naw, chickenman is right, no matter what 321 says it is still in the beta test stage. I've tried them all(versions that is) with one sort of problem or another. It would be great if it worked all the time, but alas, not yet.

i burn the movie with dvdxcopy but when i put it on the dvdplayer i get message : no disc .
i realy had it because i running out of the ideas and not only me also i get less answers in the forums.

the problem could be your burning software and not dvdx.

the burning program is from the dvdxcopy he burn it by himself and if he use with my burning program its nero which dont have problems .

The problem can also be the brand of DVDR's your using and the speed you are burning them at. OIf yoiu burn to a DVDRW do you get the same problem? Have you tried different media? Have you tried lower burning speeds (if possible)?

Te problem could also be your DVD Player being very tempermental, working some times and not others fr what appears to be the same disk.

1. Did you do as bertieg suggested? If you don't unlock the drive by playing a few seconds in your DVD Player software first, you will not be copying anything playable. That is the meaning of "error reading source drive".

2. Do you have the latest updated version (1.3.1)? That got IFOEdit's creator on board to fix IFO compatibility issues.

For a problem disk, I go back to the manual method of using SmartRipper to just rip the movie, then IFOEdit to split to 2 DVR's, and then IFOEdit to fix it up before burning in Nero.

about your first suggestion i already unlocked it so no problem there.
as for you second comment no i have v1.3 ill try look for 1.3.1 , ill be happy if you give me a link for that and more important a guide if there is .
