i can't delete files in norton protected bin

i used to have norton systemworks and i dont have it anymore, but one of the remnants of it still left behind are huge gigs of files in the norton protected bin which i can't seem to delete; i had them on diff. partitions and for the non primary partitions, i had to move all the data out of the partition and format them to get rid of those protected bin files, but i'd hate to do that to the primary partition b/c that means i have to reinstall windows as well as all the programs on it.

i have tried going into dos mode as well as boot into safe mode but i still cant delete them; i can see them when i do a DIR command but it says file not found if i try to do a DEL command at the c:\recycler\nprotect prompt.

i tried booting with a dos disk but with that boot disk, i could only see the A drive; i cant switch to C drive

please help.

hmm, that sounds logical enough; but as i remember, norton systems works is kind of a pain to uninstall completely, but i'll try your suggestion; thanks!! :)
