I have several mpeg files that I want to put together (with a menu) on one DVD.

Is there a program that will do that for me?

All Authoring softwares doing this. I use Dazzle DVD Complete. With DVD Complete you can add 20 movies (with unlimited tracks every movie) on a DVD and select which one you want to see from the menu.

I am so lucky to have a friend that has got this program, but we cant seem to get it to work with SVCD files...

Is it something we should take into account by using these files???

Dazzle DVD Complete will always want to re-encode SVCD files to DVD compliant files as they are far from compliant. Wrong picture size and audio normally wrong sampling frequency.

Demux the SVCD mpgs with TMPGEnc to its mpv (video and mp2 (audio) file and load these in.

Yes do as ChickenMan wrote, and the same must be done to burn VCD (mpeg1) files to a DVDr.
DVD Complete will re-emcode the audio file.

How do I Demux the SVCD? Will it take long time??? On my very slow pc (Pentium 3, 700 MHZ, it took 15 hours to make 1:30 hour into a SVCD.

Demux (Demultiplex) is a process that just splits the MPG file into its 2 components, its Video stream and Audio stream. Thats all and takes 5 min to do so.

We were talking about Dazzle DVD Complete , just load the files in and it will want to re-encode to DVD format, let it and then it will author the files ready to burn to DVDR.

I have the demo dvd complete & it says the svcd files are non-compliant and non convertible, is this because it is the demo version

I have not tried the demo version so not sure. Have you gone to the Dazzle site to read what the limitations are on the demo ?
