I have no problems running. You have to also allow your firewalls (whether XP or other software) to allow ftp ports open. *usually 21* but you can change it to any port.
Incidently if you want to enable or disable the winXP firewall, you can do it this way:
>Open Control Panel and double click on Network Connections.
In new box that appears>right click on the Connection and click on the Advanced tab. Check or uncheck the box according to your desire.
You can also disable the function & others by getting into main controls:
>go to run & type: gpedit.msc
but this is more advanced & you should know what you're looking at in here.
