How to extract just the sound from .RM files??

Someone help me, please.
I read this thread, but it does not solve my problem:

I want to extract just the sound from real media (.rm) files and save them to an audio CD - it's a russian language course :p .
The EO-Video program only converts .rm to .avi or .mpeg and with them I can not make my audio CD. :(

Is there a direct way to do it? Or, at least, to save the audio track from the .rm file as .mp3 (with Nero I coudl easily make the audio CD)????

Thanks,

nunomad

Nunomad, if you just want to extract the sound, you could give TOTAL RECORDER a try, it creates a Virtual Sound Device on your PC and lets you record sound from various sources including websites and games so I can't see any reason why it won't work for you. Just play your Russian media files and hit the record button on the program, I believe it outputs sound in .WAV files.

See this thread for the serial number:

and you can download the installation program from:

Thanks, vcd_pat, for pointing out a solution.
But it Total Recorder I will have to hear more than 20 hours of Russian to do that.
:p :p :p :p :p :p
If I can't find any other way, well, let's do it patiently...

You can use Vegas Video3.0 , this is a video editor, in it you can open your file and automatically it will split it in two tracks: audio track and video track, then just eliminate the video track and render the audio track as *.wav file.

I forgot to tell, if you use Vegas you have to convert to *.avi first, you could also try using Movie Star it supports real media files directly.
