How remove ez-drive?

My friend has a Quantum Fireball 40GB harddisk with ez-drive bootmanager installed. He's unable to format or repartition this drive. Pqmagic etc gives errors. How can he remove ez-drive?

Wipe EZ-Drive ==> loss of all data!

- set in BIOS 1st Boot Device = Floppy Disc
- reboot with a W9x Boot Disc
- in DOS enter "fdisk /mbr"
- reebot with the W9x Boot Disc
- in DOS enter "fdisk", delete all partitions;
- reboot, now PartitionMagic should work;
