How get subs into vcd?

I wanna make a Vcd from a DivX movie, but have the subs as a SRT file.
How can i combine these to a Vcd or Svcd file so i can watch it include the subs in a standalone dvd player? Thanks for your help.

For VCD, subs must be hard encoded. Use VSFilter's textsub with AVISynth.

SVCD's spec allows for removable subs, although not all players support it, so you may want to hard encode them anyway.
