How do I convert 2 discs to 1?

Hi,
I'm a bit new to this but a DVD which was originally on 1 disc, got converted to 2 discs for some reason. What do I need to get this back onto one disc?

more info please eg are the 2 discs dvd or svcd or what

The 2 Discs are DVD.

Dvd remake and dvdshrink will do it.
I read the post on doom 9 how to do it with shrink and it worked-so check it there.
With dvdremakepro just open both and export them out-b ut you have to get dvdremakepro
