Anyone know how to turn off this stupid error? ....

"hi-speed hub device attached to a non-hi-speed hub"

It occurs when you plug a USB2 device into a USB1 hub or port. Only happens in WinXP, not Win2k nor Win9x.

Very annoying warning that shows up in your system tray and makes a dinging noise (every few seconds). Stays in the tray for like one minute.

Hate it.... want to get rid of it! I know that it will work at a reduced speed Mr. Windows.... like duh!

There must be a registry entry for it so that I don't have to see it anymore. Found nothing in Google except 1 dead link (which mentioned how to get rid of it). Damn!

Anybody?!

Figured it out myself. ;)

If case anybody wants to know...

Computer Management > USB Controllers > USB Host Controller > Advanced tab > tick "Don't tell me about USB errors."

And no more annoying warning. :)
