help!

I have a lite on dvd burner and i can burn dvd's sucessful with clone dvd and any dvd but they will only play in my computer. My friend has a tdk burner and uses the same program and the same discs and it works in my dvd players i was wondering if there is some option i have to change or set or if i could have installed the burner wrong because it makes no sense that we both use the same program and same discs but yet his work on my dvd players and mine do not. Some of the discs I have burnt work but they are very choppy and freez every second his play smooth without any choppyness please help thanks.

Cant help re the S/ware BUT it sounds like a media problem

What media are U & your friend using?(is it the same or as I suspect different)

Try a different program. I like burnatonce 0.99b (you will find a link if you look around the forum). I find that when I burn with this program I have like no compatibility problems mean while if I take the same files and burn them with CopyToDVD the DVD just doesn't play on some players. :)

If after trying a different burning software you still have problems and you are using +r media it may be that you need to set the book type to dvd rom. It seems that some standalone dvd players will not play pc burned + media unless that is set. The Liteon forum at club.cdfreaks -

Ah Viper of course we are worthy- more worthy than most, its just that those freaks at club-cdfreaks are more freaky than we are about Liteon. After ploughing through hundreds of posted kprobe images I do feel they deserve the gong for greatest dedication to the cause. I have 2 liteon drives and fell asleep with exhaustion after perusing the liteon forum at club.cdfreaks. I think we here at DVDRbase have a greater sense of proportion regarding Liteon:) besides what is wrong with cross fertilization?? Without it I would not have been born :)
