Hi People... Long Time Not Posted..

Anyway Here Is The Problem..

1 Year Ago I Bought WINDOWS XP PRO Retail, From This Guy. Wat Given A Serial Number With COA..

Now It Saying I Need To Renew My Key. So I Bought A New Key..
Now How Do I Update The Key And Activate It With The Product Key
I Tried It The Way The Website's Are Saying Like Changing The First Key In The Registry..

It Dont Work What's The Other Way Around...

Renew? - sounds very fishy, not aware that Windows keys ever needed to be renewed, other than, say, for the legitimate owner of a VLK that got leaked.

Is that the one? - the Activation wizard method may be more appropriate than the scripts, as they change VLK's that do not require activation - quite bizarre that MS actully tell you how to change the key, without considering wher you are hetting the replacement key from.

Are you sure it wanted the key renewed, and not the activation?


Now I know they do OFFICE as a trial, but pretty sure they don't do the OS on a trial basis - at least, not an a try&buy, time limited betas, yes.

You do NOT have to "renew" any LEGAL XP key, period.
You might have to reactivate Windows with your old key when you make some significant hardware changes though.
