help a newbie to burn dvd's

Hi all Just bought a liteon +- dvd burner today, using dvd decrypter,
have successfuly ripped to iso and burned using dvd decrypter movies that have already been copied
my question is how do i rip only what i want from dvd's encode? compress? then burn? if thats correct and what software will i ineed , as you can see i'm new to all this but a fast learner.

any help would be most appreciated kindest regards sulako :)

DVDShrink will let you decide what to keep, and what not. It will also compile/author, and burn to dvdr.

i'd like to add that while dvdshrink will let you reauthor the dvd, it won't let you keep the original menus if you do so. many other transcoders will allow you to drop titles while retaining the menus, but if you want to use dvdshrink for your transcoding, you can get around this by using DVD Stripper to take out whatever you don't want from the dvd before running it through dvdshrink.
