hard drive failure??..

everytime when i startup i always see this after my bios information....

1720-Smart Hard Drive detects imminent failure. Your hard disk drive is detecting an imminent failure. To ensure no data loss, backup contents and replace this hard disk. Attribute Failed: # 05

after that it just loads up to desktop.... is my hard drive messed up??..how do i fix this??..

As the message says, back up your data first!
then download a diagnose tool from the harddrive manufactors hompage; it will provide you more informations than the BIOS is able to detect;

Your hard drive and motherboard support S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology). This is a good thing... its letting you know that this hard drive may be beginning to fail.

Just because it's working now, doesn't mean it's going to continue doing so. Do as Duracell suggested... let the diagnostic tool do its thing. It might be repairable. Hopefully it not time to RMA or replace it, but be prepared for if the utility tells you so.
