Golden Hawk(spit)

I have used CDRWin/DAO for a long time from my Yamaha CDR100 about 1994, up to the Plextors I use now,

and all I can say is if it looks like a dead dog, and smells like a dead dog it's time to call it a dead dog!

from now on I will use the CDRDAO/CDRTOOLS GUI Burnatonce as there seems to be some hope of that actually having new functions added before I die :/

how many years can GH hope to add yet more new CDR support to their util and keep loyal users, and yes I am actually registered!

the last version I registered was 2 years ago! and nothing new has come out since then, now 2 years is a long time in any industry but in the PC industry JESUS it makes it Neanderthal,

I think it should be renamed JurassicWin,

Hey poko, I'm also one of of the jerks who actually paid for this shit because at the time it was very hard to find a decent program that burned bin and cue files.
Since then I've progressed to VOB, Fantom and now to Alcohol for burning bin and cue and am very happy with Alcohol.
For straight bin and cue Burnatonce is very nice indeed.

Err no ... if you really knew this software you would realise that adding a few recorders to it every couple of months is not updating, all other software authors support new hardware as a matter of course, and release new and improved software with extra functionality,

Golden Hawk however just add new writers! I am fed up of the amount of times I have heard it will be coming out with new options only to wait and wait and wait ad infinitum,

about five years ago it was being touted with the new soon to be released Graphical Cue Sheet editor, now whilst not very useful it would at least have been something NEW,

never happened!

I (like most people) use software as and when it is necessary, and the only thing that keeps the blood flowing and makes you want to keep registering it is innovation,

can anyone else remember any other promised options that never came about? it used to be a fantastic utility (leaving aside whether or not it was based on 'stolen' GPL source code) and was once the only thing you could burn PSX games with,

now however it is Narcoleptic.

Today the real place for this program is the wastebin.
Poko, you actually paid for that junk.

Ah well, at least you've found the right place for it now. ;)
