Glad to be back...

Wow it looks like whilst I've been moving, getting the phone installed and waiting for a new ADSL compatible line to be installed alot has happened here.

If the current content is an example of what is now allowed on the forum then things are not looking too bad.

I've probably missed most of the debate about Warez but if the choice is an informative and (mostly) friendly site without warez or saying goodbye to CDRsoft because it gets closed down are the choices I'll take the former and be grateful of all the helpful information which gets posted.

I'm glad to see that the DVD secitons seem to have survived and I'll apologise in advance if I get the wrong end of the stick and breach the new rules by talking about 'Backing up' DVDs...

I assume it is still okay to discuss what software and techniques we use to back up DVDs or software as long as we don't use this site to discuss where to get any software or cracks ect.

Without the Warez things are still looking good and I'm just happy CDRsoft is still here now I've got decent access to the net again.

Glad you made it back m8. Yes you are allowed to talk about DVD backups, etc. Thats a legal entitment you have and posting of links to legit software is still allowed of course. Its just cracks/serials, etc and other warez where even requests wil be deleted.

Old timer (Taz69) welcome back bro, yeap alot has gone on since your last visit but ChickenMan has put you in the picture on rules...:D :D Tanx for your support and how's the BB?

Thanx for the welcome back guys...

Broadband is brilliant. Mind you getting BT to install a compatible line was a minefield.

I had to hint that I'd go with BT Openworld before they'd install a new line and then they called me a week later to tell me they couldn't offer a service because the line wouldn't support 512k. Even had the cheek to offer ISDN instead.
(Maybe they had got the request from Nildram to activate the line by then ;) )

A hint for anyone else getting the runaround by BT if you need a new line for ADSL

Just orded it and if you really have to, agree to get your ADSL from BTO as UK law gives you 14 days to try it and cancel it without any penalties.
If they can't provide a compatible line you can cancel it without paying the instalation charge anyhow...

Then you could cancel ADSL service and just keep the line.

Downloading at a gnat's whisker under 60KB a sec and loving it.

The-poacher : Where in Lincs are you from ? I just moved from Gainsborough 6 months ago.

A fellow Yellowbelly

Also too right about BB a few weeks with only dial-up and I've no hair. (_8^})

Cheerz all.
I week back on broadband and the internet takes on a new meaning again.

I'm glad CDRSoft seems to have weathered its storms pretty well and it looks like the regulars and everyone else are keeping up the good work.

My only question is what happened to joripe? I thought he was a permanent fixture and lived on this site.

@The-poacher : Sods law that when you sign up to the WORLD WIDE web you bump into someone from just round the corner...
