giving format to cdrw disks with direct cd

I have windows xp and it is not possible to use the last version of direct cd of Roxio for giving format to cdrw disks. When placing them with data I can sometimes read and record but sometimes i can only read them. Can anybody help me? Thank you

uninstall and then reistall but first make sure that you have the most up to date updates.Question,are you running winxp and service pack 1?Till laterz

I am running windows xp without update sp1, i think it´s an incompatibility between direct cd and windows xp. Thank you

Okay,use the platinum version of direct cd and it should be okay.till laterz

disable the native XP burning engine called "IMAPI Burning Service";
Start > Control Panel > Administration > Services > IMAPI Burning Service > disabled

Beware of Roxio crap;

There is still the same problem, some cdrw i can read and write and another i can only read, the diference is that i now formatted a cdrw disk.
