which router are you using ?

i'm still having difficulty sorting out my router to allow me to setup a ftp server on a NAT network.

Alcatel Speed Touch 510 with firewall (and i am a hard setting up those friggin firewall rules too. - though i seem to have got the hang of it Just trying to figure out those port forwarding commands - *sigh*)

I'm using a 4 port syslink router. I port forward 21 to 21 to IP 198.168.1.100 then went to h**p://whatismyip.com to find out my external IP then suddenly ftp works.

I'm not sure if all ftp server softwares support port forwarding on NATS - what ftp server software are you using ?

Did you set up any passive ports ?

G6 has to be one of the best FTP servers =)
Love using it also.
