FlashGet v1.40 - losing registered status on WinXP Pro system logout

Greetings all:

I'm using FlashGet v1.40 and purchased license(s) for 2 machines. The funny thing is that it accepts the license but when I logout either by logging off in WinXP or by rebooting the system, the next login, FlashGet will be unregistered again and I have to enter my registration info again which works until I reboot or logout. Anyone have any ideas what's causing this? Thanks.

Im using flashget for long time---I always choose shareware--which means no to free addware, always keeping it registreed, since win98se and untill today all versions were working fine........Never encountereed any bugs,or the problem you got now--same thing with windows xp..So contact tecnical support--who knows--somebody might used your serial#.....Btw,only flashget limitation is number of downloads, and this is a small great hack--so you can download up to 100 files in some time--was posted somewhere--so i picked up:) :) :) Working more then great so far(since version1.4 showed up!!)!!

?! not sure !? have you tried contacting them for help being a registered user they should help you resolve this :)
I did but they just told me to reinstall it and the problem happens on two machines with two different registrations. I wonder is it the program because this program doesn't have the usual HKLM/Software keys like all other software does.

Interesting.. so if someone has the same serial as I do then it will keep reseting mines? Does it do a check each time FlashGet is run?

I have even used a genned illegal serial for regging Flashget (just for testing purposes of course... I removed the registered version within 24 hours... :D) and the only case I had this problem was with some bad keymakers.
Since your serial is genuine, I strongly suggest emailing Kevin Hou (Flashget developer) and complain about the issue.
By the way the guy offers three versions of his superb download manager: An ad-supported one, a shareware one (same installer), and a freeware one under another name (Net Transport). I know he won't admit that he is the actual Net Transport developer, due to real media licence issues, but a single glance at this one is enough to make you confident about the fact...

What confusing me is how you got 2 diffrent serials..Couse when you register it,you put name and serial is dependant on it--last few versions atleast, and i registreed it with same serial on win9x and 2000/xp..........AS Scarecrow said, email the develpper, well you paid for that support anyway----flashget got unlimited life-support+updates for registreed users!!

and when u register, plz don't forget to fill all the info, esp the email, coz if u leave 1 blank, it will accept but @ nxt logon, it will lose the registration.

Yeah, that's what I did. He told me to uninstall and reinstall but that didn't fix it. I mean it's not that big of a deal :)

wanna try an alternative proggie?can try net transport...no reg needed & looks the same as flashget as wat scarecrow said previously.

If you`re really a regular user(paid for)...Go and jump on his back bud!!!He`s got to find whats wrong...But i think something is wrong on your side......Couse using a flashget for a long time..My first and only downloade manager....And never been a unregistreed!!!
