Fixing VIDEO_RM/VIDEO_TS DVD

My buddy went on a cruise and paid like $40 for a stupid video of the cruise he isn't even in. THe DVD won't play in any stand alone players but plays fine in a PC. how can I fix this to play in a stabdalone?? Searched here and google but couldn't find anything helpful. DVD structure is as follows:

VIDEO_RM (folder) (inside): VIDEO_RM.bup/VIDEO_RM.ifo
VIDEO_TS (folder) (inside): VIDEO_TS.bup/VIDEO_TS.ifo/VIDEO_TS.vob/VTS_01.0.bup/VTS_01.0.ifo/VTS_01.0.vob

I tried just pulling out the files from the video_ts folder like a normal DVD adn burning but it doesn't play at all.

Try putting All The files from VIDEO_TS into Nero burning a DVD Video works for me with recorded video on DVD

I tried that to no avail. and I get that video relocation message failed, this disc might not be playable message,

extract the video files and try to reauthor it, maybe with DVD shrink as a simple option

Try using Nero in DVD ROM UDF/ISO mode, create a VIDEO_TS (all CAPS) folder with the files, then burn it. Don't use the DVD Video mode...

Hi all. I re-authored it and it worked ok. Thanx for all the advice. What are the VIDEO_RM folder and files for?? Real Player?
