firmware 1.0f

Just curious about a few things...

I read this thread, and downed the firware update for the new CRW-F1 I got for Christmas...

http://www.cdrbase.com/showthread.php?threadid=25606

I applied the update with no problems and the drive still extracts audio faster than I ever need it to. However, when I go to the actual Yamaha site here...

http://www.yamaha.com/yec/multimedia/index1.html

...I work my way into the CRW-F1 firmware page and the most current version listed is 1.0d. I dont know the difference between the 2 sites. Like I said, I havent had any problems and the drive is incredible, I was just wondering if anyone else noticed this?

I also was wondering what anyone else's experiences were running their CRW-F1 with this new firmware...

later...:D

the 1.0f makes the drive extract audio at a max 24x instead of the 44x...you have to open the tray...place a cdr in..then press the close button several times for 5 seconds..then after 5 seconds let the tray close...its now at 44x...once the tray opens again and closes...it set back to 24x default..there is an article about it at the yamaha site...as well as cdfreaks...read the full article here

Yeah, I read the articles about the firmware update...I was more specifically interested in knowing if anyone has had any problems after applying it.

I also found it kind of strange that the official Yamaha CDRW site doesnt host the update...
