Thx m8 for the news, I've edited the links in your post so that they are live now too. :)

You have to love this:

  • Doesn't this case illustrate that all browsers are equally insecure?
The Mozilla Foundation continues to have a very strong track record on security. According to Secunia, an independent security monitoring organization, Firefox currently has 1 open security issue, out of a total of 13 security advisories filed in 2003 and 2004. 0% of these are labeled "extremely critical", 15% are labeled "highly critical". For the same period, Secunia lists 16 open security issues out of 44 advisories for Internet Explorer 6.0, 14% of which are labeled "extremely critical", 34% are "highly critical".

Just be careful with this as I had it running beautifully for 2 weeks, installed a new plug-in and now for the life of me I can't get it going at all, even after full uninstall and it seems I'm not the only one either..:(

Well I don't think that older themes & plugins will work for this release..

So be carefull cause it will destroy your profile!

If you don't tweak too much the new builds won't let you install incompatible or anauthorized addons. But anyway, making it work is pretty straightforward: Backup your user profile somewhere, then delete it by hand ( normally in /Documents and Settings/{username}/Application Data/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles ), restart Firefox and then import your favorites from the backup.

Thank you indeed scarecrow - did that to ya letter and it worked a treat..:)..thanks mate..:)

Now my question to you - is Firefox better than Mozilla?

May I also add that ANY serious Firefox user MUST pay a visit at this freaking awesome site:

Poweruser's dream... And you will actually find out why Firefox is vastly superior to any other browser curently. Out of the box it's just a solid, basic, no-nonsence slim browser, but with a bit of common sense you can add to it pretty mush anything you want.
