File folder picture tag editor

Noticed that sometimes a folder shows a picture in the thumbnail view even if they are no pictures in the folder or anywhere else on the drive. So I guess that a software can tag those pics on the folder file like some soft dot it for mp3 files. Does anyone know what would be this software Thanks

Maybe this one, thebabe ;)

1. Software description

CustomFolder is the easiest and most powerful solution to customize your folders. No matter applications or documents, each folder can be individually set to show a custom icon. With one single click, you can generate a custom "folder-look" icon based on the application contained in a folder. And this "on-the-fly" conversion can be achieved from any icon on your computer; the resulting icon will then be saved as a standard icon file. You can also select any icon from an icon file, program, DLL or library. The standard library coming with CustomFolder already contains more than 100 brilliant, high quality icons. CustomFolder manages 256 colors icons, so they give a perfect look to your desktop. This is the indispensable add-on for Windows!

New version 1.2 features: this version adds support for removable medias such as CD-Roms as well as folders located on a network, allowing every user to see the customized icons (even if they don't have CustomFolder installed!). And you can also create new icons from a personalized basic folder icon (no longer limited to the plain Windows folder).

2. Distribution Package

The original package is a ZIP archive, named "CUSTFD12.ZIP". It must contain the following files:

- Installer.exe: the installation program, containing the CustomFolder files.
- File_id.diz: software description
- Readme.txt: this file
- Lisezmoi.txt: same as this file, in french
- Legal.txt: license agreement

3. Installation

- Unzip the ZIP archive to any directory.
- Launch the program "Installer.exe" and follow the instructions.
- Reboot your computer after the installation.

4. Usage

To launch CustomFolder, simply right-click on any folder in the Windows Explorer, and select "change icon...". Be sure to try the "Auto-create" button, the fastest and coolest way to set a custom icon for an application folder!
