Commonsense prevails - for now.

While the idea of software patents is valid in principle, it has far too many problems from those who "patent farm" with the sole purpose of stomping on anyone else who comes up with the same idea. If someone designs, markets and patents, fine, but there are way too many patents being used to bully independent developers.

The number of "stupid software patent" cases, should mean that anyone shuld be against this excessive reward for pure guesswork - remember the hyperlink patent?
