erasing a CDRW

hi, i'm using Nero 5.5.10 and last time, as i was burning a CDRW, the operation halted,(invalid data) adn i can't seem to be able to erase the CDRW again( it's a Maxell CDRW). i'd like to know if there is a software that erases CDR,CDRW efficiently...

most good cdr software will erase them there are a couple of tools out there that do this seperately but they are not very fast :(

There is a one from a cd mate developer----It`s caled''cdmate eraSER SPECIAL"""--I will post but its too big---almst 2 mb..Itis a good tool---try it!!!!!Ok its here----do not know how--couse its big attachment....Btw,this sw is not on their website anymore--so if you wanna delete it couse bandwith problems?

The util posted by zver is just great- in fact CD Mate was able to make for me usable some RW that were ready to go to the bin.

But can you TRUST CD-RW media if it needed extreme recovery?

I must admit, though, I had success with a day of sunlight, and a full erase (quick erase often fails if the media is below par)

It seems that quick erase needs it to be, at least in part, readable - where FULL erase may only require the CD to stabilise in the drive .... you CANNOT erase while the drive is still hunting!

The stock answer always used to be SUPERBLANK

I had better results erasing with NeroT than with superblank 3.01 but will try with cdmate eraser next time.:) Thanks zver.

i just tryed to dwld and it works--spedd 100k--so it`s ok for sure--checked twice(before and now)!!!!!

The CD-Mate eraser does not work with some modern burners, and also does not seem to work under Win9X. It has been a very long time before its last update.

Sorry, for me doesn't work.
I've slow 56K modem and I've tried Flashget, Getright and direct IE d/l.

The d/l starts and a few minutes after stops before finish and starts again and never end.

Maybe it's the time connection.

You have speed 100K and I have max speed 5K. 20 times is a big difference.
