I recently found a great online 200,000 term English dictionary for use in browsers; LookWAYup.
How does it work?
On a page where the web site version is activated, double-click on any word
Alternatively, if it is installed on your browser (it takes 10 seconds), then press the LookWAYup button
Information box pops up right on the page – no need to go to another page

Contextual queries to search engines

Extended search tools
Works on Netscape, IE, and Opera version 4 and above on Windows, Unix, and Mac
