ebay

iv got to start watching the telly a bit.
firstly one of my good friends had put a other in for some £3000 organ type of thing.he lives on it & recomands the paypal
he had bid £1500 for this keyboard.but it had gone for £2500 in the end.
next thing he gets a email asking if he was interested in another one as this person was getting them direct.
thinking nowt of it,he agrees to buy one.
well this person lives in france, but he dont want paying in euros or £.he asked my mate to go through a american bank with some type of cable transfer.
luckily he asked him why through a american bank.
obviosly no reply.

today my other pal was talking to me & ebay came into the conversation.
apparently a program on some uk television was saying about ebay.people have hacked the paypal & ebay offering some excellent cheap goods for sale, like the woman on the telly who was being investigated said.theres no need for telephone nos, only some dodgy email account.
and this has happened to thousands of victems.:(

I've only ever been done outta cash once on eBay, in the end I lost about £45, but I know a lot of people that have lost ranges in 3 figures, its diabolical however... before placing a bid, "ask seller a question" and ask for their phone number, failing that get them to give you a call and get their address etc before you place your bid, that way your feeling a bit safer as you know where your money will be going, working so far for me :)

I have 11+ and 1- someone complained about a guitar that was fine, in the end I had to say "yeah ok its a shit guitar" to stop him going on.
