When you use soft as reliable as Stomp RNM there really is still no need to even try this, though I will out of interest when I can get my hands on a retail version.
@ Laz: I am using RecordNow Max 4.5 and ECDC 6 together, there is no software conflict between them either.
Like you said, trying it won't kill you...;)

Just installed this new version, looks great, very stable, no coasters so far (burned 15 CDs), many new programs added (AudioCentral is great) etc. I can't believe Roxio did a good job this time! :D

Pretty interface.......but 800mb install space for a burning program...

That's the main problem I have with this program. Too much space required when I use so little of what it has to offer.

I think alien is right, I have been using it for a day now and it is rock solid and is not a resource hungry, it's been smooth sailing. And the interface is pretty good too. The install is not 800MB, it's 296 for me and i did complete install.

The new drag-to-disc is an excellent idea and way better than any packet cd i have ever seen. i can say that it is the only good one out there. it's not the best of the worst anymore.

And it have OGG support. it can burn OGG cds and it can rip a cd to OGG directly.

Roxio are getting better i think.

I agree about the pretty interface, but dude, you have to check more than only your program files folder to know how much space it really uses....;)

ok, maybe you are right. but is it really important to you how big it is???

All i am saying is that it improved and no longer that buggy and won't kill your system.

Just got a 120 GB HD, so who cares about 0.5 GB! ;)

It all comes back to that eternal question: does size really matter?

For those who have a small disc, my sympathies.

I have multigig harddisks, but their purpose in certainly not storing bugs.
If you like EZCD6, have fun with it. "Rock solid" suggests that you live in a sand desert.

I think you shoud TRY a product before judging about it!
About bugs: tell me a product that has absolutely NO bugs and I'll go and buy it! All I said about this new version is that it is very stable compared to previous versions and it has some nice new features (like ripping to .ogg format, something that Nero doesn't do yet)!
If you don't like it, you don't have to use it! ;)

Come on Scarecrow, be fair, you haven't given them time to fiddle with it a bit yet. Allow a few months to go by M8 and after 6.01 to 6.02a, 6.02c and then after service pack 1 and service pack 2 it might then be as good as all the others. lol

But just think, for the space that it uses you could get six really good burning programs on your drive and still have room for a couple of CD label programs as well!

Geoff, I see you got the point. As for giving them time for updates/bugfixes- Roxio does not even know the meaning of "bugfix".
I will certainly NOT even try this one- I have no time for fdisks in Roxio's sake, and my current config leaves nothing to be desired.
I will leave Easy Cofee Percolator v.6 to be tested by the brave, adventurous souls- I surely have better things to do.

I don't really know laz, but an 800+ MB program SHOULD do coffee as well- else how could I use the pile of coasters I would make with it?
