DVDRW problem

I use a dvdrw to download any programs onto using incd.

A few days ago my computer shut down and rebooted by itself.

Since then, the dvdrw has been read only. I cannot write to it, although I have copied everything to my hard drive and reformatted hoping that would cure it. It did not! I still can't write to this dvdrw even though it is freshly formatted.

Anyone know what I should do to be able to use it again?

You have to trash it and use a new one... actually you were lucky to have disk access-even read only.
Those are the "goodies" delivered by ANY packet writer application, I suggest try living without their aid.
