DVD Shrink movies don't work on DVD Player

Thanks. I have not seen this post before. Will try it. I hope the software does realize that some people use WIN98SE and FAT32!

I have no idea re this BUT if U even are considering burning DVD it really is a must U go to 2000 or XP to facillitate the use of NTFS;)

I like WIN98SE. Have used WINXP. For my internet gaming, I prefer WIN98SE. This is more important than DVD burning.

But I finally burned a DVD that worked with freeware. Using WIN98SE. Took a lot of learning and research in many forums.

This is the basic routine, for WIN98SE:

1) Rip with DVD Decryptor. This creates THREE files. Create them in special directory. The file you will have to identify in DVD Shrink is the ".MDS" file. But DVD Shrink does not recognize these split files. You have to create a "virtual drive" using ".MDS" file on it.

2) Now you use Daemon Tools to create a virtual drive, using the ".MDS" file. Mount it. You HAVE to use a virtual drive with WIN98SE/FAT32 for the three part ISO files as DVD Decryptor creates no ".iso" file with FAT32, just the ".MDS" file and two other files ("is0" and ".is1") or something like that.

3) Use "Open Disk" in DVD Shrink and use DVD Shrink. Select the Virtual Drive. You can click "Use DVD Decryptor to Burn". Run DVD Shrink. This takes under 10 mins.

4) DVD Shrink will kick off DVD Decryptor to burn automatically. Burn!

And be sure to remove DVD from DVD Drive before you try to use Daemon Tools (after you rip) and burn the DVD. Nothing will work if you do not do this. The file system gets confused with two Drives with the "same disk" in it.

It worked!

Thanks for all help.
