DVD+R plays in computer but nothing else

I have a nec 1100A dvd+rw drive and I am using dvd shrink and burn at once to backup my dvds. Everything looks like it works great and the movies play on my computer but do not play on any dvd player that I try. When I look at burnatonce info box it seems to think that the media is a cd-rom and it says that it sees the dvd+R media but it is not supported. Is there a setting I am missing? Any help would be great.

If it seems to be working without, then it may not be writing a correct DVD.

The firmware with the bitsetting hack MIGHT improve compatibility with some players - BUT:
Reflashing with non-original firmware is dangerous, and is best not attemted except as a last resort.

I read the link and that looks like it is my problem. Do you know of any other freeware burning programs that support dvd+?

Nope... just K3B (www.k3b.org), but this is a Linux application.
