DVD folder structure problems

I started with a .img file of a dvd, which i extracted using winimage. When I now try to burn the resulting files, I get the error that the current folder structure will not support a dvd. I tested this file with my dvd player on the pc by clicking on the .VTS file and the whole thing plays just fine..menus work and everything. Are there any programs out there that may help figure out where the problems are? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

i would not extract the content; would rename *.img to *.iso and burn the image as usual; use RW media first for testing purposes;

If the .img was made on a MAC then the filenames might have been screwed while ripping with Winimage... They need manual fixing (codepage, using just legal characters for Joliet etc).

I thank both you and scarecrow for the advice. This board continues to be the best!
