Dvd-copy?

If you want the menus and extras then DVDX Copy but most movies will take 2 dvd's.
I always use Eazy VCD and never have any problems.
I set it to produce two files to go on two 80 minute CDRs and then
I either walk away, go out or find something else to do do for a few hours. Usually I go to bed and in the morning they're ready to burn to the discs.
For my money, a great program and free as well.
No hassle and free, what more could you want!

DVDXCOPY will copy with no degradation in the quality of the picture or sound, as the versions are updated more and better features are added.
While it's true a lot of films do require two DVD-+/R/RW's, quite a few would still need two if something like smartripper and ifedit was used.
This is a very simple product to use, the latest version has the option to keep or drop the menus and extra features.

You will still get more films onto 1 dvdr using dvd decryptor(or any good ripper) and ifo edit, than you will with dvdxcopy.
Dvdxcopy looks like it may have a good future, but at the moment it is of more use to people who have limmited time and who dont mind paying out for the extra discs.
Correctly transcoding a movie so it fits on 1 dvdr is time consuming but the results (if done proiperly) result in no noticeable drop in video quality.
It is not so long ago all films were fitted onto a dvd5 disc and the the real reason movies are on dvd9 discs now is to stop u backing them up. ;}
The other great anti-piracy ploy is to stick an often pointless extras cd in the box so you think you are getting a good deal.
I look forward to the continuing development of dvdxcopy and would ask people to try and support it were possible.
However, if u have a reasonable knowledge of computers, u would be better advised to follow one of the simple but excellent guides at doom9.
