Greetings everyone,

I can not play DVD 9 on my DVD player! Is there any software I could use so I can be able to play DVD9?
Thanks
Marvin

Hi Marvin, Welcome to our forum! :cool:

Are you talking about a standalone DVD player?
if so, check the manual, have a look at the fabricator's homepage, read the FAQ there, try to update the player's firmware;

if you talking about a DVD player software at your PC, then look for a free online update;

Hi Duracell,

Well,what I have is a PC DVD player! Its brand is MSI. 16X...number: MS-8216
I can't play DVD 9 dvd's on it. The drive can read the disk but can not play it.

P.S: Incase you want to ask,i installed the 1.5 firmware.

Regards
Marvin

Ok so what program do you use to play them on your pc? Like Duracell said maybe you need to update your program. :)

hi PC-Guy

I have the following software. Powerdvd 5.0, inervideo windvd5.1,dvdx and others..and all are latest version. No more updates available.
What do you think can be a solution?

Thanks
Marvin

What does that mean? and how can I unlock it? :confused:
It means that its firmware is RPC-2 (region locked), and you have already used the allowed region changes (usually 5).

The RPC-1 patched firmware is based on 1.16, but it is untested- so use it at your own risk.
Another solution could be playing back through software like DVDregionfree.
