Downloading

I´ve been trying to download some stuff from this excellent website but there´s major problems with that. I´m using IE6 in win XP and every time i cklick a download link i am immediately kicked back to the entrance page.....also IE6 reports error when loading the pages....any suggestions? I suspect the anti-leech script or some other php/cgi stuff?

Hi bud.N.B. knows more than me about this.I know a few things that can cause problems.Proxy servers, download managers,Security settings in IE too high, firewalls. Also at certain times the traffic is so high here it can also cause download problems.

Yes,there is an anti-leech script also.Hope that helps a bit.You are also correct,it is an excellent site!N.B. puts a lot of work into it.Nice to see people appreciate his work.He doesn't do it for the money BTW,or else he would starve!!.

:)

I indeed agree with you about the site and its high quality!....I´m not using any download manager, i´m not using a proxy server, my security settings in IE is set to medium, but i DO use a personal firewall, Zone Alarm Pro.....the thing is that i´ve used that firewall for a long time but since i installed IE6 i´ve had nothing but problem with the downloads....my gf is using Win98/IE5.5 and exactly the same firewall and she has no problem whatsoever to download from this goldmine:).....:D....could it be that the scripts are somewhat "incompatible" with IE6?.....anyway, strange it is:)..

-i use netants to DL'd everything

-try using that and turn off the browser "click integration"

-jus right click on the link and select the "DL'd by Netants" option

Good for you, but are you also aware of that Netants contains spyware that sends information about you and your web surfing habits to their server?.....go to w*w.lavasoftusa.com and download ad-aware free edition, install it and run it......i´m pretty sure you´ll get a hell of a surprise when you see what you have installed on your computer:)...ohhh, btw, Netants is not making any difference for me......

Yes, Ad-Aware most certainly seizes Netants from working if you applied it, and thank God for that!.....Its supposed to do that, remove traces of spyware, and if some program installs spyware on my computer without notifying me, it does not deserve to run on my computer....
