Does Edonkey2000 have spyware?

Well, does it? I downloaded the non-cydoor version from their site, but is there anything else attached? If there is, is it ok for me to remove it and still have edonkey running properly? Thanks

it's fine without the cydoor version.
No worries from ad-aware nor firewall (as long as you set permissions for it).

Spywere yes or not?

I really dont know this software but as they tell you above you can use a spyware scanner like Ad-aware (you can update the spyware definitions online) and you can search in Ad-Aware page that they post some links to places whit spyware software databases where you can make specific searchs.
