dialup problem

Anybody know how to shut off a "what seems like" a autodialup? Everytime I reboot, my dialup connection comes up, and repeats like 40 times because my default dialup is not IE, its netins. (mandatory) for us.
I first thought it was Norton trying to update: so I uninstalled prog. and the live update prog. was'nt the prob. unless it's still somewhere I haven't looked?
After that, thought it was maybe AG (uninstalled it to) nope not it either.
Anyway now I'm down to the basic bones of win 98se and it still does it any help out there?

stats:
win98se
pci 56k fax modem
:(

startup?

have u tried typing "msconfig" under run command then click on startup it should tell u what programs are used at startup and then u can disable the offending dialup. jkat hope u sort it, sounds like a f^^kin nuisance.:D

If you want there's a little prog that can make really easy to check that's in the startup registry

Startup Control Panel helps you handle problems with programs that are automatically launched at startup. When Windows starts up, it automatically launches a number of programs. Some of these come from the Startup folder. Windows also looks in several other locations for files that should be launched at startup. With Startup Control Panel you can list these programs and disable, enable, move, or delete them. programs and disable, enable, or delete them.

it wasn't a prog doing it after all. All it was is I had "always make a connection" checked instead of nerver dial a connection. It was all in the dialup file.
I will down prog. anyway sound usefull;)
