dgVoodoo, version 1.30

The new dgVoodoo, version 1.30, is now available for download on VolariGamers. DgVoodoo is the ONLY Glide wrapper available which allows you to play Glide-based games on any DirectX 7 capable video card, and works for BOTH Windows and DOS games, allowing you to play classics such as Tomb Raider, GTA, Red Baron 3D or Carmaggeddon in Glide mode.

What's new in v1.30
- New lfb-writeback method (previous versions worked in stupid-mode a little bit)
- Missing Glide-functions are present now and some of them are implemented
- Multibase texturing is supported
- Some multithreading issues are fixed
- Lfb-access can be disabled in a new way, only for read, only for write or for both (can be useful for e.g. Screamer2)
- Bit depth of depth buffer is always the highest possible one (this was always equal to the bit depth of the color buffer in prev. versions because older cards only supported this configuration)
- Delta0 mode is implemented
- Two hidden option are available in setup (see setup)
- Autogenerating mipmaps
- A lot of internal changes, fixes and rewrites, making a lot of thing simpler (in fact this is what is reflected in the version number ju)

The other Glide Emulator that looks pretty powerful (but no DOS support) is Zeckensack's - I'd never heard of it, since my experiance of Glide was limited to running CTHUGHA 3DFX version in XGL200 0.4a

http://www.zeckensack.de/glide/readme.htm

Zeckensack's is a glide to OpenGL wrapper/emulator, and may be the most powerful of the bunch.
Though it uses OpenGL, it's simpler to measure cards in DirectX terms -
DX7 = Tier 0 - some functions missing, others approximated
DX8 = Tier 1
DX9 = Tier 2

Also supports MMX, 3DNow, SSE

Other wrappers of interest:
http://evoodoo.emulation64.com/us/products.html - eVoodoo - though I don't think I got this to work terribly well - was making god progress a while back, now stalled.

https://sourceforge.net/projects/openglide - Openglide also lived on to 0.8/0.9 before stalling - since it's a sourceforge project, presumably interested parties could take over and run with it?

A rather dated review - XGL200 0.04a was king for a long time, and has various options to tweak for certain cards or generic

DG is your only choice for DOS - and Zeckensack is the only other one in current development.

Time to fire up CTHUGHA!
