decripting blocked :(

First thing I would try is to remove all ripping software.Uninstall all of it.Then just go with Dvd Decrypter. The Sony should be installed as secondary master for best results, and DMA should be enabled for it.

Oh..also make sure you have dvd decoding software like Windvd or Power Dvd installed to unlock your dvddrom drive, and to authenticate it.You will also need it to play a couple minutes of a dvd before ripping(a good idea).

Last Post by me!

I hate to give up on this without a solution. If DMA was enabled, try disabling it.If everything fails consider getting a Liteon Dvdrom drive,163,165,or 166 model for ripping. The Sony you have is locked at 2X ripping speed,so is slow by all standards.I have seen a few others having rip problems with it.You will also save wear and tear on it by using a dedicated reader. The Liteons will read at about 6- 8X speed so you will save time there too.All done!;)

Tich, are you able to actually play/watch the DVD movie on your PC ? Do you have WinDVD or PowerDVD installed to allow that?

I would suggest you actually play the movie for a while, then stop it. Dont exit the program though and then run DVD Decrypter.

Also, do you have DMA turned on for your reader/burner? If it is on, turn it off. If its is off, then turn it on. Re-boot after you change these settings though.

EDIT: I see Woody mentioned both of these options also.

ok THX EVERYBODY

Looks like I had a problem with my DVD (hardware problems), I re-installed all, enabled DMA, installed WinDVD, ... all in all it worked. I don't know what precisely solved it but it works currently.

Thx to all of you ;-)

guess who

is coming with a brand new problem lol ;-)

Well, here it is, I made a test to copy an already copied DVD (I made this one myself and still have the original so I could make new tests if needed), it worked once, and since then, with the same version, nothing helps but I can't make a proper version ...
I can read the DVD I copy from but when I make the copy, all seems to be going well (excepting that copyDVD can't find any title while it did before), but I only have a DVD full of data's, unreadable. I made several tests and all worked well since last week, since then, I burned 10 DVD for nothing, none worked :(

Did anybody encounter the same problem ?

Thx ;)

A few suggestions.First use a dvdrw to eliminate coasters.Second making a backup of a backup is easier..the protection is removed, unless you use DvdXcopy. So it is just a disc copy (like in nero) create an image and burn(but use a slow read speed).Third, when you make a backup from the original make extra copies at that time.;)
