I just got my Memorex Dual Format DVD Burner and I'm learning how to use it. DVD X Copy Platinum gives you the option of burning a 2 layer DVD Movie on a single DVDR disc using compression. Is this newly created disc playable on a any newer model DVD player or only on a computer. I need to buy a new home DVD player so what feature should I look for in order to play the compressed discs or will any newer player do the job? I know this is a newbie question....but I'm a Newbie!

Most Standalone DVD players play backup DVD's But when U decide which one to buy <> google search the model & see what it says <> but the only real test is to play a Copy DVD <> if U can get it in the USA spend your money on a liteOn <> its working bits are a DVD ROM it will even play Divx.
Save your $'s buying DVD X Copy and get DVD Shrink for free, quality of output is just as good. Then spend the extra $'s on a good DVD Player as The Poacher suggested.
